  The lid seal has been proven to effectively contain aerosols, eliminating risk of micro-organisms being released into the air. The Vortex has a moulded surface
  casing designed to enable efficient cleaning. It will also withstand disinfectants and detergents.

  The combination of the sealed, water filled hopper and its unique, innovative twin blade design provides complete maceration to a fine watery slurry which will flow freely through drains.

  Energy Efficient
  The motor and intermittently operated pump ensure economic use of power; requiring only cold water the Vortex quickly and hygienically disposes of 4 pulp products every two minutes.

  Durable
  The powerful 1kw three phase motor for single / three phase locations and square section frame provide inner strength and durability to withstand transportation providing an average life of 10 years. The Vortex macerator is manufactured to ISO EN 9001:2000 standards and is tested to ensure compliance with CE and BS requirements.

  Safe disposal

  Made from biodegradable over-issued clean newspaper and designed for single-use; the male urinal is used once then disposed of which eliminates the infection risk associated with reusable urinals and toileting products.

   

  Practical design for ease of use

  Our single-use containers are designed to hold fluid for up to 4 hours (or up to 2 hours for our detergent-proof washbowls). They are then flushed away safely and quickly in a Vernacare disposal unit, macerating up to 4 containers at once (or up to 2 detergent-proof washbowls).

Vernagel & Scale

  Vernagel is a super absorbent powder which prevents spillages and leaks by solidifying liquids. Vernagel is designed specifically to cope with bodily fluids - trapping them in a dry,semi solid gel that is convenient and easy to dispose of. This also means that patients are saved the embarrassment and indignity, which often follows an accidental spill.

  Eases nurse workload and saves laundry costs

  Trials* carried out in four hospitals confirmed that by preventing spills Vernagel sachets would save an average ward 135 days a year in nurse time and £2600 a year on laundry costs.
